Doing Nothing is a Costly Alternative

  • 78% of Texas prison inmates failed to graduate from high school
  • The average dropout costs the community more than $800,000 over the course of his or her lifetime.

To sustain our existing programs, we need to raise $150,000 this year!

Helping a child overcome the barriers they face in life helps them succeed in school. In the last school year, we provided dropout prevention services to 2,132 at-risk students for a cost of approximately $1 a day (or $365 a year). The results are amazing: 92% of all CISNT students succeeded in the classroom and were promoted to the next grade.
