North Point Christian Church has supported Communities In Schools of North Texas at DeLay Middle School for many years.
North Point Christian Church has helped with the CIS Holiday Assistance program for the past four years. Mike Farra, North Point’s lead pastor, sits on our Building Leadership Team to help with community input. One summer when they realized that our girls were not as prepared in sports as other area schools, they developed a free volleyball camp for them. Debbie Garrison, who is employed by the church, has been a CIS mentor for around eight years. This semester she reached out to me to inquire about their youth group performing community service over spring break. I was able to connect them with a family and they built a small wheelchair ramp for one of our students. The family was very happy!
