Sadik, a 5th grader at Rivera Elementary in Denton, TX, has been participating in CIS for the past year. This year he was a part of our 5th grade boys Lunch with a Leader group. Sadik was originally selected for this group by his teachers to help him come out of his shell and use his voice more.
Sadik was matched with a mentor through this program and, through his mentor’s encouragement, has truly come to life. Dr. Vince Baugher of the Spinal Decompression and Chiropractic Center in Denton comes to every luncheon and makes sure to spend intentional time going over Sadik’s month to encourage the victories that Sadik has had as well as identify ways that Sadik can improve himself.
We have seen such growth from Sadik over this school year and are so proud of him for speaking up for himself and others.
