What do you like about working for CISNT?
I love the strong relationships that I am able to build with my students, their families, and my staff. It feels good to work with a group of like-minded people, and to be able to give back to the community. There have been countless success stories that stem from CISNT, and I feel blessed to be a part of this organization.
What is your favorite program to implement on your site and why?
My favorite program to implement always changes. I really enjoy Enrichment Hour because the students enjoy it so much. It is really great to watch them be engaged in things that interest them.
Share a success story which always makes you smile.
Having one of my first students from the Communities In Schools 21st Century Community Learning Center program graduate high school, enroll in college, and come back to CISNT as an employee. This student was very special to us during her time in the after school program, and it is so fulfilling to have her return to her roots, and join the team!
What do you like to do in your free time?
Going to hear live music, watching movies, bowling, performing. Anything that has to do with music, or art is intriguing to me.
What is one thing your coworkers may not know about you?
I am a big kid/nerd. I spend a lot of time being nostalgic. I’m stuck in the 90’s. I watch 90’s sitcoms daily. If there was one era that stands out to me, it is that time. I have a lot of good memories from the 90’s.
One thing you hope to accomplish in your lifetime?
I hope to one day tour the world performing my own original music. I’d also like to get involved in comedy and eventually be a host on a live panel talk show.
