Three Siblings Get the Most out of ACE at Evers Park Elementary

The 2021-22 school year is flying by, and we’re already almost halfway through the Fall semester! CISNT Site Coordinators have been hard at work empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life, and our ACE Site Coordinators and teachers are no exception!

At Evers Park Elementary, ACE Site Coordinator Rachel Rodriguez has had the pleasure of serving not one, but THREE students from the same family through the ACE afterschool program at her campus. Ti’Andre and Cristina are twins in 5th grade, and their younger brother, Evan, is in kindergarten! Ti’Andre and Cristina have been part of the program for almost four years, and they have truly made the most out of their time in ACE at Evers Park.

ACE has provided Ti’Andre and Cristina with an opportunity to make friends, have fun, and go above and beyond in their academics. Cristina loves that she is able to spend more time with her school friends and complete her homework through ACE, and one of her favorite activities in ACE is painting. ACE has gone a long way in helping Cristina excel in the subject of science, and Cristina’s favorite ACE memory is setting up tents in the portable buildings for reading zones.

Ti’Andre loves that he is able to complete his homework during ACE so that he can go home and relax, care-free. Ti’Andre’s favorite ACE activities are playing football and exercising, and his favorite ACE memory is of attending Summer ACE programming a few years ago, where he got to spend extra time with people he loves. Ti’Andre has received help with his math homework in ACE, where his coaches have showed him how to break down each step of solving an equation.

Evan is starting his first year with ACE, and is already having a blast! He loves playing dodgeball and catch with his ACE coach.

Ms. Rodriguez writes:

“It has been a pleasure getting to know this family throughout the years. We cannot wait to see Evan grow through the ACE program, and sadly, this is our last year with Cristina and Ti’Andre, but we know they will do great things in middle school!”

CISNT believes that every child deserves a safe place to learn and grow. CISNT ACE Afterschool Programs place students in a safe, healthy, and academically-enriching environment protected from the many risk factors that can impact a student following the end of the school day.

Our amazing Site Coordinators are an important cornerstone of the work that CISNT does across North Texas schools every day, and we are glad that Ms. Rodriguez and the ACE program at Evers Park have been able to serve these three awesome students.

During school and after school, CISNT is #AllInForKids!
