The Mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is to be the proven leader in coordinating and providing community based solutions that challenge young people to overcome barriers, succeed in school and prepare for life.
We have created this blog is to connect the CISNT community of volunteers and supporters to the thoughts, comments, activities and observations in an effort to help increase awareness about the growing number of students at-risk of dropping out of school and more importantly how we’re all affected.
CISNT believes that every child, regardless of economic background, deserves and needs an education to succeed in life. We know that because many of these students lack the resources, emotional and physical, to succeed, they need our help. CISNT donors and volunteers are committed to closing the gap, removing obstacles and building safe and healthy one on one relationships.
CISNT is a 501(c)3 non profit organization committed to providing and coordinating dropout prevention services. Our Executive Director, Gary Henderson, provides a unique perspective in this blog about the silent epidemic our community faces and how we all can make a difference!
