Ms. Kim Cody, Assistant Principal at Mill Street Elementary School, is an extraordinary and determined educator with 28 years of experience. She has worked with CISNT Site Coordinator, Ms. Chamorro, since becoming Assistant Principal three years ago and has been an incredible asset to the Mill Street campus and a strong advocate for students and the CISNT program.
Ms. Cody believes that each student can create change and be successful when they have someone supporting them in their life. She ensures that each student is cared for and is always willing to lend a listening ear when they need someone to talk to. Ms. Cody creates a safe place for students, and they look up to her as a role model.
Ms. Cody’s dedication to the students and staff of Mill Street Elementary is unparalleled. She constantly finds ways to support others and greets those around her with a big smile and a warm hug. Ms. Cody has been a strong supporter of CISNT since the beginning. She engages with CISNT volunteers when they’re on campus and refers students to the CISNT program when she knows they might need additional support. Ms. Cody ensures that Ms. Chamorro is included in all important meetings regarding students in the CISNT program and always allows space to advocate for students. She also collaborates with CISNT to ensure that students who frequently miss school or are experiencing different situations have the support they need in school.
