Meet Linsey Schafer

Dr. Linsey Schafer, DSW, LCSW, joined the CISNT team in 2024 as the Chief Development Officer, working to increase community collaboration and engagement. Linsey is committed to empowering students and communities through education, fostering collective social impact, and building strong, supportive networks. Linsey is honored to be a part of this impactful organization, equipping students with the tools they need to stay in school and achieve in life. 

Before joining the CISNT team, Linsey’s work focused primarily on providing individual, group, and crisis mental health support in public school and educational non-profit settings. She holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University. Linsey also graduated with her Doctor of Social Work degree in 2024 from the Kent School of Social Work and Family Science at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Schafer’s practice interests include school social work, program development, organizational change, and social work education.

In her free time, Linsey likes to hike, read, travel, and spend time with her family.
