Meet John Minh Nguyễn

John Minh Nguyễn joined Communities In Schools in 1998 with a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Art & Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas. He came to CISNT in 2001 from the Communities In Schools program in Dallas. Being a former refugee, John is passionate about the role that education can play in shaping one’s future. Education gave his family the opportunity to plant roots in a new country to succeed and grow, and that is why he believes in Communities In Schools’ mission.

As the Director of Technology and Data Management, John is responsible for managing the Communities In Schools Navigator (CIS-NAV) data system, developing reports for our funders and board of directors, providing technical support to all staff, and maintaining the technological infrastructure of CISNT.

In his free time, John likes to spend time with his family, do lots of yard camping, and dabble in new gadgets.
