Meet Jennifer Hughes

Jennifer Hughes joined the CISNT team in 2003 and first served as a Site Coordinator at DeLay Middle School for 17 years. She now serves as the Director of Volunteers and is responsible for the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers for CISNT. Jennifer received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Texas Tech University in 2000, and after a brief time with CIS of Dallas, she has spent her entire career with Communities In Schools of North Texas.

During her time as a Site Coordinator, Jennifer implemented one of the first large scale mentoring programs for CISNT.  It was here where she first saw the true impact that a caring adult could have in a student’s life.  She strongly believes in the power of mentoring and CISNT’s mission of “surrounding students with a community of support.”

In her free time, Jennifer likes spending time with her family outdoors hiking and playing tennis or pickleball.
