September 17th was Communities Foundation of Texas’ 12th Annual North Texas Giving Day, and this year, our Community of Support truly made it one to remember!
This North Texas Giving Day, we asked our Site Coordinators and community members, “What does CISNT mean to you?”
We posted photos and quotes from 11 Site Coordinators across multiple districts answering our question. Our Site Coordinators named everything from the relationships and resources to the community partners and student support! Priscilla Bock, Site Coordinator at Lake Dallas Elementary, gave just one of the awesome answers we received.
“For me, CISNT means meeting students where they are at and honoring their story. I believe our organization makes a positive impact in the lives of North Texas Students and that individual interaction is a major factor!”
This year’s theme prompted many of our supporters and staff members to think about what CISNT means to them, and by the end of the day, we exceeded our goal of $10,000 and raised $15,228 for North Texas students, our highest amount ever raised!
Overall, donations made for North Texas Giving Day totalled more than $58.8 million dollars over 3,200 nonprofits across the region, with more than 685,000 volunteer hours pledged.
Many members of the North Texas community have faced challenging and uncertain times over these turbulent past few months. Yet, community members turned out in huge numbers to support nonprofits in their region this North Texas Giving Day, sending an incredible message about the ability of a community to come together when it matters most.
The donations made by our Community of Support this North Texas Giving Day will go far in helping North Texas students stay in school and achieve in life, and we can’t wait to see what our students accomplish this school year.
To our incredible donors, volunteers, and staff members who contributed to a successful and record-breaking North Texas Giving Day: Thank you for being #AllInForKids!
