Thursday, September 23rd was Communities Foundation of Texas’ 12th Annual North Texas Giving Day, and this year, our Community of Support went above and beyond to deliver a second record-breaking year in a row for CISNT!
To celebrate this year’s North Texas Giving Day, four CISNT Site Coordinators took over our social media stories to bring us A Day in the Life of a CISNT Site Coordinator, posting photos, videos, and boomerangs to show us what a day of empowering North Texas students looks like!
Site Coordinators who participated in this project included the following:
- Rachel Rodriguez, ACE Site Coordinator at Evers Park Elementary
- Wendy Navarro, Site Coordinator at Peters Colony Elementary
- Jamey Carpenter, Site Coordinator at Bridgeport Middle School
- Nellie Apodaca, Site Coordinator at Central Elementary
Social media takeovers took place every day through the week of North Texas Giving Day, and when NTGD finally came, our Community of Support truly showed up. 91 donors contributed to help CISNT surpass our goal of $20,000, and ultimately raise a total of $26,750, our highest amount ever!
Overall donations made this North Texas Giving Day exceeded $66 million across 3,300 North Texas nonprofit organizations, representing a record-breaking year of giving for Communities Foundation of Texas!
From the continued COVID-19 pandemic to severe winter storms, North Texas has tackled a challenging year with determination and perseverance, and this year’s North Texas Giving Day has truly illustrated just how amazing and generous our community is.
The donations made by our supporters this North Texas Giving Day will go toward programming to empower over 6,000 students to stay in school and achieve in life, and we are so excited to see all of the amazing things our students and staff members will do this school year!
To our donors, staff members, and volunteers who made this North Texas Giving Day so successful: Thank you for being #AllInForKids!
