On Monday, October 19th, Communities In Schools of North Texas hosted its annual Skirt the Rules Scramble and All In Fore Kids Golf Tournament at Lantana Golf Club!
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., over 120 participants golfed to empower North Texas Students to stay in school and achieve in life. The Skirt the Rules Scramble, in which golfers could sip, swing, and cheat their way to victory in a Caddshack-themed event, ran from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the All In Fore Kids Golf Tournament ran from noon to 5 p.m. The day’s festivities included a raffle featuring 15 must-have items, a costume competition, and a series of golfing contests to challenge even the most skilled golfer!
Lunch and dinner were grab-and-go to minimize congregating and large groups, with lunch provided by Chik-fil-A Founders Square and dinner served by Los Lupes.
A few generous sponsors made appearances out on the green during gameplay.
VLK Architects sponsored CISNT’s All In Fore Kids Golf Tournament and served food and drinks along with Balfour Beatty and Ratcliff Constructors. Bahama Buck’s treated players to shaved ice at Hole 8, and at Hole 4, players could win a 2020 Ford EcoSport provided by Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford of Lewisville if they made a challenging hole-in-one shot. No winners this year – but some players got pretty close!
Participants were also able to purchase Mulligan Super Packages and shots with a Golf Cannon ahead of the tournament, which allowed for some pretty impressive scores!
Golfers, sponsors, and staff members all dawned masks and followed social distancing protocols in order to ensure the health, fun, and safety of all participants!

Though it looked a little different than previous years, our 2020 Skirt the Rules Scramble and All In Fore Kids Golf Tournament were a great success! We had so much fun throwing this event and watching our players have such a blast out on the course.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors for making the day special, and Lantana Golf Club for providing a beautiful space for this annual event! We would also like to thank Chik-fil-A and Los Lupes for serving lunch and dinner, and our participants for supporting North Texas Students and having a great time golfing!
Together, we raised more than $50,0000 for CISNT programs, which will positively impact the lives of more than 27,000 students this school year.
