Meet Amy Johnston
Amy Johnston joined the CISNT team in April of 2019 and has a foster care case management background. She graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and earned her Master degree in Social Work in 2017 from The University of Texas at Arlington. Amy began her career with CISNT in April 2019 and went on to open the CISNT Case Management Programs at Degan Elementary and Huffines Middle School. She then transitioned to the Zone 4 Program Director where she helped further CISNT’s mission by leading a team across three districts (Lewisville, Lake Dallas, and Gainesville) to be that community of support for their students. Amy is currently the Senior Director of Case Management Programs, she is responsible for the implementation and fidelity of the case management model to Communities in Schools’ Total Quality Systems (TQS).
Amy is passionate about CISNT’s mission to surround students with a community of support. She believes every child deserves to have someone who is in their corner no matter what and should never have to doubt their community will show up for them.
In her free time, Amy loves spending time with her friends and family, visiting her favorite local coffee shops, and is always ready to hike in the mountains!
