Meet Joanie Dawson

Joanie Dawson joined the CISNT team in 2018 with a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. During her undergraduate experience at the University of North Texas she had the opportunity to double major and minor with a B.S in Development & Family Studies and a B.A in Sociology with a minor in Leadership of Community & Nonprofit Organizations.

Joanie has served at CISNT in many capacities over the past 10 years – as a volunteer, Family Engagement Specialist intern, Academic Enrichment Specialist, ACE Site Coordinator at Hedrick Elementary, and now as Grant Accountant. In this role, she is responsible for assisting with a variety of activities that support accounting and other financial administrative processes of CISNT operations. Joanie is passionate about supporting Site Coordinators to provide students and parents with enrichment activities that they don’t have the opportunity to experience daily. Joanie believes that enrichment activities empower students to stay in school and one day see themselves achieve even greater experiences in life.

In her free time, Joanie enjoys leading praise and worship at her church, and spending time with family and friends.
