Congratulations, Kaira-Elaine Bridges, 2026 Elementary Student of the Year!

Congratulations to Kaira, the 2026 Communities In Schools of North Texas Elementary Student of the Year!

Kaira has been part of the ACE afterschool program since first grade and has grown from a timid, sweet young girl into a confident, compassionate, and capable young leader. Kaira demonstrates kindness and empathy toward others, and as a fifth grader, she continues to set a positive example for her peers.

Kaira is consistently the first student to offer help—whether she is comforting a friend, assisting younger students on the playground, or stepping in to support others during activities. ACE students know that Kaira is someone they can trust and turn to in moments of need. Her genuine care for others and her willingness to lead by example make her a natural role model.

Kaira has actively sought opportunities to better herself and develop leadership skills by participating in school activities such as choir and the cheerleading team, and by serving as a Kindness Ambassador. Last year, Kaira faced challenges, both in the classroom and during ACE. At times, these challenges felt overwhelming for her. The ACE program at LES provided additional opportunities for collaboration and relational skill-building, which Kaira embraced. She has developed communication skills, resilience, and confidence, which have empowered her to flourish socially and academically and to create a positive school environment.

Kaira’s leadership, perseverance, and integrity are just a few of the reasons she is deserving of the CISNT Elementary Student of the Year award!

Congratulations, Kaira!
