What was your favorite subject to teach when you were in the classroom? PE/Health
If you had chosen a different career path what would it have been? Something in the Sports, Nutrition, or Health arena
What advice would you give to a student that you wish someone had given to you at their age? Don’t let anyone determine what you can or cannot do—you are in charge of you and your destiny. Follow your dreams.
What does having a CIS Program on your campus mean to you? To your campus? Having a CIS program on campus means, as a collective team, we are able to serve the educational, emotional, and basic needs of our most at-risk students and famililes.
How does CIS help your campus reach its goals?
CIS will be working on being involved and providing support to our Literacy Initative by being involvend in Literacy Night, having mentors read to students, and by working with our parent community liaison to get parents involved in the school.
In what ways does your CIS Site Coordinator positively impact the students and/or campus?
Alison Hosack is very positive and supportive of all staff members and families. She exemplifies what it means to go above-and-beyond. Alison continuously checks in with school officials to ensure the campus goals and CIS’s goals are aligned. I couldn’t be more pleased to serve with Alison at Borman Elementary.
