CISNT Men Who Mentor

There is no doubt about it, mentoring works. Statistics show that students who are engaged in a high quality mentoring relationship do better in school and engage less in risky behavior. This is why Communities In Schools of North Texas needs people like you to give just one hour a week to change a life.

We need everyone to step up to the plate and we particularly need men. Last school year, less than 30% of our mentors were male. Since it is best practice to match mentors and students of the same gender, this means that the majority of the boys served by CISNT are unable to benefit from this unbelievably needed support. To combat this, we are working diligently to increase our percentage of male mentors this Fall through the CISNT Men Who Mentor initiative.
