What do you like about working for CISNT?
I love being able to make a difference in students’ and families’ lives and bounce ideas off of insanely creative coworkers.
What is your favorite program to implement on your site and why?
I enjoy conducting Lunch Groups. Even though it’s a basic program, I love being able to see my kids every week and spend time getting to know them and see them grow as little individuals.
Share a success story which always makes you smile.
When I think about how much progress my student, Sierra, has made, I cannot help but get super excited for her. She has been in my program for two years, and I am so happy that I get to spend more time with her and watch her grow. When I first met her, she was in first grade. She struggled to identify the numbers 0-10, correctly identify colors, recognize letters, and spell her name. By December, her progress was insane. She was getting ready to count to 100, she could recognize all her letters and colors, and she could confidently write her name. I thought she was all caught up, but she showed us she had more she wanted to accomplish. She moved up in her reading level and absolutely loved coming to school to count for us and spell new words that she had learned. She actively participates in CIS to help herself in her academics and to build strong relationships with her peers. I could not be more proud of her success and cannot wait to see all she accomplishes in years to come.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to hang out with my husband and my dogs and try creating new recipes.
What is one thing your coworkers may not know about you?
I have a weird love for cleaning and organization.
One thing you hope to accomplish in your lifetime?
I wish to travel to as many places as possible.
