Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Cahak, the 2026 Communities In Schools of North Texas Educator of the Year!
Mrs. Jennifer Cahak truly embodies what it means to be an exceptional educator and advocate for student success. As a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher at Prairie View Elementary School in Northwest ISD, she goes beyond classroom expectations to ensure every student feels supported academically, emotionally, and personally. She takes the time to truly know her students, recognizing their individual needs and ensuring they have the encouragement, resources, and support they need to thrive.

She actively promotes CISNT resources, including snacks, clothing, weekend food, and academic support, ensuring families know that help is available when they need it most.
A longtime supporter of CISNT, Mrs. Cahak regularly refers students and collaborates closely with CIS staff to remove barriers to learning. She also encourages fellow teachers to utilize CIS resources to better support their students.
